Vision of sleep

The future concept of sleep and the utilisation of new and varied mattress construction, is the subject of the fair stand of the Matresses Associat­ion, Germany. Our team of six designers, should design a lounge, representing the vision of sleep, which satisfies the customer’s desires. The stand size was 250 m². The stand is an analogy to sleeping under a tree. Various materials, including latex, spring frame, or foam were represented by 3 circular seating platforms with numerous smaller stools. The tree foliage is used as a means to project different colours and to generate different times of the day with varying lighting ambience. The fair stand was part of the 2006 imm cologne interior design show.
